When I wake up in the morning or shortly after I have a morning song in my head. Often I start humming it or singing it softly to myself. This has been going on almost for as long as I can remember. I thought that everybody had their own morning song until I found out a few years ago that’s not the case. In fact, I don’t know of anyone else that has a morning song. I’m OK with that. I like having a morning song. I even like the morning song from “Friends,” and sing it from time to time in the morning much to my family’s consternation. https://www.youtube.com/embed/S_PGP5QiIss?autoplay=0&mute=0&controls=1&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.jongleman.com&playsinline=1&showinfo=0&rel=0&iv_load_policy=3&modestbranding=1&enablejsapi=1&widgetid=1

I do wonder at times why a particular song is going through my head on a particular morning, but I try not to overthink it. I just enjoy them. My morning song this morning is “Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On” by Jimmy Buffett and Matt Betton, ( a drummer and songwriter in the Coral Reefer Band).https://www.youtube.com/embed/c-GUBkymgzw?autoplay=0&mute=0&controls=1&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.jongleman.com&playsinline=1&showinfo=0&rel=0&iv_load_policy=3&modestbranding=1&enablejsapi=1&widgetid=3

“Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On” was included on Jimmy’s 2006 album Take the Weather With You as a tribute to victims of Hurricane Katrina. Again I don’t know why this is my morning song but I think it is good advice. With so much happening in our world and our lives these days, whenever possible just take a couple of deep breaths and move on.
